Psalm 91

Psalm 91

(Read Psalm 91)

The previous Psalm dealt with the greatness of God, whereas this one brings to our attention the many blessings that are gifts of our great God, to those who put their trust in him. There is a deliverance from the deadly pestilence of sin.

He is our refuge and fortress from the stress that life throws our way. He is the one who gives protection from dangers that are part of our lot as sinful people, although believers are cleansed from sin, it leaves its problems for us to face. He promises that when we face danger he is our dwelling place. When we fall and fail, as we all do, he will lift us up, dust us down and set us back on the way. Why? Because he loves us and has promised never to leave us. What a wonderful God!
