Psalm 131
Micah gives us a list of things that God regularly requires of us, as believers, within which we should walk humbly with our God, Micah 6:8. The idea of walking here implies how we are to live our lives. This Psalm demonstrates that it is possible to live humble lives and when we do we share the evidence of true spirituality, and for us it is in an imperative if we are to follow in the footsteps of our Lord Jesus Christ. Paul reminds the Christians in Philippi, Phil 2:8 that he humbled himself and became obedient unto death , even death on the cross.
Psalm 113:5-6 talks about how our great God humbles himself to take notice of our activities. This Psalm shows how a person can imitate God by living humbly. It is not a sign of weakness but as an expression of the character of God.
