Psalm 130

Psalm 130

(Read Psalm 130)

Two great themes run through this Psalm. The first and perhaps the most important, so far as we are concerned, is the truth is that God is a forgiving God. When the Lord taught the disciples to pray, part of that was to ask God to forgive our sins, Colossians 2:13. When we ask him into our life he forgives us all our transgressions

Paul writes in Romans 4:7 stating “blessed are those whose sins are forgiven.”

John writes in 1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins he is faithful and just to forgive our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

It is a thing of great gravity that upon our confession of our sins he promises to remove them all. No wonder Paul says such a person is blessed. We should also learn to forgive others.
