Christmas celebrations today seem to focus on shopping and charity appeals. But where did our Christmas traditions really come from, and what should Christmas mean to Christians? This study explores the history of Christmas celebrations and reminds us of the true meaning behind the holiday.

While Christmas has changed a lot over the years, from ancient Roman festivals to today’s modern celebrations, what really matters is remembering why we celebrate - the birth of Jesus Christ. Even though we don’t know the exact date Jesus was born, we can still appreciate the traditions while keeping our focus on God’s gift to humanity.
