Psalm 84
The Psalmist answers here the query from the previous comments in Psalm 83:1 how to let our lives shine in this dark world?
Firstly, to have a real hunger to go to the house of God, the local church. Many churches are having problems in this area. When I first became a Christian there was somewhere we could go every night to enjoy fellowship and worship with fellow Christians. Many churches today have only one service on Sunday and only one midweek.
Secondly, to have great desire to live wholly for the Lord, every day. Jesus said take up your cross daily. Luke 9:25. and Romans 12:1-2 make clear what is involved in this.
Thirdly, there is a need to have absolute trust in God and that he always knows what is best for us in every situation.
Practise all three and your light will shine and be a witness to all who are observant, and will bring God’s blessing.
