Psalm 73
This Psalm deals with one of the conundrums of life, the wicked seem to prosper but the righteous suffer. We have all puzzled over that very thing from time to time. As he ponders over the great deliverance he perceives their end we should read the story of the rich man and Lazarus as the Lord Jesus tells us Luke 16:19-31.
He also remembered that God was continually with the righteous he was encouraged by understanding that God guides him and that in the future he will be received into glory.
This then is the final incitement to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ who is the way the truth and the life, the only door to glory John 14:6. But look at this most wonderful of affirmations Psalm 73:25. One day every believer will see him and be like him, 1 John 3:1-2, but in the meantime our whole being should be devoted to fellowship with him, 1 John 1:3, and to serving him in every way possible.
