Psalm 62
There is one word repeated five times in this particular Psalm, the word salvation. One of its meanings is the deliverance from danger. I know in polite circles and in many of our churches today it is not nice to talk of hell, but the Bible tells us more about this place of horror than we might like, but God has made a way to escape this doom. It is to be found only in Christ.
This salvation is God’s plan: it flows from God and God alone Psalm 62:1. It is a full and complete deliverance from the terrible future of non believers. It is also the bedrock, the foundation of all Christian living. A comfort to all who have faith in times of difficulty. It is the assurance we have when we face illness and death because we know that what lies ahead is a glorious future.
