Psalm 106

Psalm 106

(Read Psalm 106)

One of the fundamental requirements of having a relationship with God is faith. Hebrews 11 is often called God’s hall of faith. There you will find a list of some of the great men of God. Their faith was the common denominator, but what is faith? It is the belief that although we cannot see God we know that He exists, and rewards those who believe.

This Psalm details the journey that Israel took from deliverance from Egypt through to the early years in the promised land, Canaan. Through many failures God remained faithful and merciful. In this catalogue of failures we learn that even the greatest men of God can have failures. In the Psalm we are reminded that even Moses failed. We need to heed the warning of 1 Corinthians 10:12, wherefore let him that thinks he stands take heed lest he fall. It is a narrow path we tread but the just shall live by faith Hebrews 10:38.
