Reflections on Zechariah

For I, declares the Lord, will be a wall of fire around her, and I will be the glory in her midst.

In Zechariah God is still actively interested in their welfare of his people. He is going to visit them and give them prosperity: from his heart shall flow all his divine goodness to them. God is in control of the situation and his sure judgement will fall.

Reflections on Revelation

Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of the prophecy, and heed the things which are written in it; for the time is near.

In the Revelation we get a glimpse at the eternal reality and a sight of our Lord King Jesus. We can read prophecies as to the return of King Jesus and the judgment that will come with it. Even more exciting for believers we get to see a glimpse of the renewal of creation.
