He is...

Hebrews 1:1-3

Join us as we dive into the first chapter of Hebrews, where the supremacy of Christ is powerfully introduced. Discover how Jesus is exalted above the angels and affirmed as the divine Son, setting the stage for understanding His unparalleled greatness.

But it wasn't blasphemy because he really was the Son of God.

This Bible study dives into how God communicates with us, starting with the opening verses of Hebrews. We’ll look at how God has spoken throughout history—first through the Old Testament prophets and then through Jesus. The big question is: how might God still speak to us today? And how do we figure out what’s really from Him while keeping everything grounded in Scripture?

Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, Hebrews 1:1

Now, we know that Jesus is the Messiah.

  • God speaks to humanity in various ways throughout history
  • God communicated through prophets in the Old Testament
  • In the “last days,” God speaks through His Son, Jesus Christ
  • Christ is both the messenger and the message
  • We should be cautious about limiting how God can communicate
  • Discernment is crucial when evaluating modern prophecies or dreams

He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, Hebrews 1:3

But it wasn't blasphemy because he really was the Son of God.

As we explore this, we’ll talk about being open to all the ways God might reach out to us—whether through dreams, visions, prophecy, or other experiences—while staying rooted in biblical truth. Discernment is key, especially with so many different voices out there. By the end of this study, we’ll focus on tuning our hearts to listen for God’s voice, always measuring what we hear against His Word and the example of Jesus Christ.
