Psalm 96
Psalm 19:1 states very clearly that the heavens declare the glories of the Lord. Paul makes it clear in Romans 1 that every part of creation is a witness to the eternal God.
Here in this Psalm the author revels in the wonder of the greatness and goodness of God and expresses an often ignored truth, the believers responsibility of telling out the good news of the greatness of God and of the most wonderful expression of the love for us that is salvation in God alone. In other words everyone who is a believer in Christ is expected to be a witness of that good news. To aid us in this great work he has sent the Holy Spirit to dwell in us, so that we might be strong and active in proclaiming the wonderful message.
