Psalm 87

Psalm 87

(Read Psalm 87)

The Psalmist goes into raptures about the love God has for Zion. Within Christian circles the term Zion has been used to express the wonder of heaven Hebrews 11:16 and especially Hebrews 12:22 “but you have come to Mount Zion, the city of the living God the heavenly Jerusalem”. From the earthly dwelling place of God we leap to the heavenly dwelling place.

If we ask the question, where is God’s dwelling place today? We find 2 Corinthians 6:16 states clearly that believers are the temple of God and they are also his dwelling place.

One day we will enter into heaven and all the beauties of that glorious place will then be our dwelling place. In this most magnificent of places there is something that is marvellous beyond our understanding that we are the richness of Christ’s inheritance. Wonder of wonders.

“For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.” ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭2:18‬ ‭
