Psalm 44
When we are facing difficulties it is helpful to recall the great things God has done. Talk to older generation members within your church and they will tell you of the wonderful works of God from their early days. An author named Gardiner wrote a ‘warning to the nation’. In his trilogy he enumerates earlier instances during the 2nd World War where God has dramatically intervened to protect our nation. Why is this important?
Our God is the unchanging one, the same yesterday and tomorrow Hebrews 13:8. He has intervened on behalf of our nation in the past. It should encourage us to pray and ask for his intervention again, that he will turn the nation back to himself for the glory of his own name.
