Psalm 40

Psalm 40

(Read Psalm 40)

The complexities of being a true believer in the Lord are expressed quite simply and yet wonderfully if one is truly a believer and engaged in the spiritual work. Jumping from the heights of ecstasy of the wonderful change that has taken place in his life, an altered way of living, a new type of song and a new certainty of his relationship with God. The wonder of living on this higher plain of life is fellowship with the Father and the Son but yet struggling at times with our often failures.

‘That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ’ 1 John 1:3.

Paul understood this conflict when he states ‘for the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do’ Romans 7:19. Both the Psalmist and Paul kept their faith firmly based in a gracious God.
