Psalm 38

Psalm 38

(Read Psalm 38)

In his personal anguish and convicted of his own sense of failure, in the middle of a crisis of conscience and surrounded by enemies, some friends and family, the Holy Spirit convicts the writer of sin leaving him desiring his own destruction. If you were in the same predicament what would you do?

Remember the Psalms are written from personal experiences, and are often reflective of their lives.

The writer however, knows his God and His word and knew that God requires justice and is also a just God, knowing all things, and motives behind actions and therefore he believed, in the final analysis, at the last judgment all would receive their just reward.

The righteous to be rewarded, the unrighteousness to condemnation.
