Psalm 32

Psalm 32

(Read Psalm 32)

The Psalmist raises here the major problem of humanity, one that it mainly ignores, the problem of sin. He broaches the subject, and then gives the answer. The principles he outlines here are true for those who have not yet exercised faith in Him, The Lord Jesus Christ, and also for those who are truly born again believers.

Sin is the cancer of spiritual life and character. That we have sinned does not make us evil monsters but it means we have broken God’s law and therefore have failed to reach the required standard. This then means that we are separated from God Isaiah 59:2.

So, in this Psalm, we have outlined for us the cure for this dreadful malady. First, the acknowledgment to God that you are a sinner because without understanding you have a problem you will never seek the cure. Secondly, turn to God and confess your failure to be what God always intended and then allow Him to take control of your life. He will forgive you and you will enjoy peace and an eternal relationship with the Eternal God.

Sometimes, even those of us who are Christians step out of tune with God. If we then follow these principles it will bring reconciliation and a renewed freshness in our relationship with God.
