Psalm 19

Psalm 19

(Read Psalm 19)

When we take time to go out into darkness, away from streetlights, on a cloudless night and look up the starlit sky it is so lovely. Take even a small telescope and gaze up into the heavens and you can begin to grasp the psalmist’s sense of awe and wonder.

Some of the more complex telescopes situated on high mountains, even in near space, as they search and take photographs reveal beauties and wonders in the heavens more wonderful than man could ever imagined in the days when the Psalmist lived.

The heavens declare the glory of God yet so many people are so blind that they cannot see this great God. They cannot recognise the greatness of the mind needed to conceive and then create such wonder. But then it is so often true that we are so full of our own ideas, in some cases our own importance, to recognise that better and greater revelation of God. His son Jesus said, ‘he who has seen me has seen the father’ John 14:9.

Christ demonstrates the greatness of the love of God for each one of us in that he died for our sins, failures. Romans 5:8
