Psalm 101

Psalm 101

(Read Psalm 101)

The age in which we live seems to be one in which true justice is no longer part and parcel of our national life. If you defend yourself from an attacker the chances are that you will be arrested, there is no longer an absolute truth. We see that we live in an age where everyman does what is right in his own eyes. Judges 21:25. We live in a time when people call evil good and good evil Isaiah 5:20.

In this psalm David was having none of that. He will keep his life pure. He will live his life wisely in accordance with the commandments of God. Those who practise what is wrong, he will not allow into his circle of friends, but he will keep his eyes open looking for those who are living god-pleasing lives. With those people he will fellowship, but he will not tolerate those with evil intent. As Paul states in 1 Corinthians 15:13 NASB - bad company corrupts morals
