Psalm 138

Psalm 138

(Read Psalm 138)

The psalmist begins the Psalm with the statement “I will praise thee with my whole heart.” These last three words sums up the only way we can truly walk with God. James 1:8 states that “a double minded person is unstable in all his ways”. Jeremiah 29:13 states “You will seek ME and find ME when you search for ME with all your heart”. There is no room for the half hearted in the life lived for God. Jesus says we are to take up our cross and follow him. Jesus, when he was asked a question, said that we are to love the Lord thy God with all you heart (Mark 12:29). Notice it is always a demand to be involved with the living God with a whole heart, and to be wholly devoted to that relationship. All our worship, praise and service needs to flow out of us whole heartedly. The problem in one church was that they were neither hot nor cold. What about you and your church?
