Psalm 127

Psalm 127

(Read Psalm 127)

Building houses is a regular picture within the pages of the Bible. Sometimes it refers to people building places. Solomon built a temple as a dwelling place of God. Here it refers to, on occasion as family dynasty, in other places it has a reference to an individuals life, like the Lord Jesus as he talked to the people and used the illustration of a wise and foolish builder. The difference between these two builders was how the laid their foundations. The wise man’s foundation was based upon obedience to the word of God, it stood the test of time and the trials of life. Here the psalmist refers to God as the builder. He supervises the building of our lives to make them a fit dwelling place for Himself. We cannot do it our way , we must allow him to build our lives as he always knows what’s is best for us. Otherwise, it becomes a matter of self agrandissment and therefore useless.
