Psalm 125
One of the great truths, that we who are true believers can rest on is the constant protection and care that is promised by God. The bible is replete with these promises and this Psalm is one of many that give us the assurance that we will dwell or abide for ever.
The Lord Jesus, when he was on this earth gave us a double assurance in John 10:28-29. He gives his followers eternal life and none shall pluck them out from the Father’s hand, who is greater than all. What a wonderful promise, my future in time is not dependent upon me but on the promise of a promise-keeping God who is able to protect, and has the ability to keep me in peace and security all the days of my life and then on into the vastness of eternity. Paul fully expressed this in his letter to the Romans, Romans 8:31-39.
