Psalm 123

Psalm 123

(Read Psalm 123)

The writer here looks behind the natural to the God who created all things. There is nothing greater, nothing more wonderful for us to fix our gaze upon.

Turn your eyes upon Jesus, Look full in His wonderful face, And the things of earth will grow strangely dim, In the light of His glory and grace. Helen H. Lemmel, 1922

The writer of the book of Hebrews exhorts us let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace Hebrews 4:16. Notice in both the Psalm and the verse in Hebrews the importance of grace and as we, who by grace have become Christians, can boldly approach him. One day, by his grace, we shall see him face to face and we will then also be like him 1 John 3:1-2.
